Article: When Science Points to God

Author and speaker Dinesh D’Souza has debated well-known atheists such as Christopher Hitchens, Michael Shermer, and Daniel Dennett.

In his recent article, When Science Points to God, D’Souza discusses the relationship between science, atheism, and a Creator. What does the scientist do when empirical data begins to suggest that a “plot” is involved in the creation of the universe?

Whether you enjoy D’Souza’s work or not, the New Atheists despise him so he must be doing something right!

Give your girlfriend a gift card for abortion!

Planned Parenthood has decided to offer gift cards for people to purchase that can be used towards funding all their services. Now all those boyfriends and parents who don’t want their girlfriends and daughters having babies can give them gift cards for Christmas to kill their unborn children! Imagine if Joseph gave this wonderful gift to Mary when he found out she was pregnant before they were married… what would the world be like then?!

And what will they think of next??? One week abortion vacations to help you forget that you just murdered your baby before “it” was born? Let’s all thank president-elect Obama for wanting to fund organizations like this with our tax money! We should all be soooo thankful this holiday season… or not.

Planned Parenthood offering gift option
Published: Nov. 26, 2008 at 12:24 PM

INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. 26 (UPI) — Planned Parenthood in Indiana says it is selling gift certificates this holiday season for the first time in its history.

Chrystal Struben-Hall, Planned Parenthood in Indiana vice president, said the reason for the controversial sales move is due to current economic woes nationwide and how such problems may impact women’s healthcare needs, WISH-TV, Indianapolis, said Wednesday.

“People are making really tough decisions about putting gas in their car and food on their table, so we know that many women especially put healthcare at the bottom of their list to do,” she said.

The gift certificates, which are only available in $25 increments, can be used on a number of Planned Parenthood services, including abortions.

Struben-Hall told WISH-TV while the decision to place abortion services under the certificate umbrella would undoubtedly prompt criticism, Planned Parenthood did not want to restrict those seeking healthcare.

“They really are intended for preventative healthcare,” she said. “We decided not to put restrictions on the gift certificates so it’s for whatever people feel they need the services for most.”

N.T. Wright and Martin Luther agree on the Gospel

The Gospel in a Nutshell

N.T. Wright: “When Paul talks about “the gospel,” he means “the good news that the crucified and risen Jesus is the Messiah of Israel and therefore the Lord of the world.” Now, that’s about as brief as you can do it” (Interview with Trevin Wax).

Martin Luther: “The gospel is a story about Christ, God’s and David’s son, who died and was raised and is established as Lord. This is the gospel in a nutshell” (Martin Luther’s Basic Theological Writings).

Culture News: Michael Jackson converts to Islam

Report: Pop star Michael Jackson converts to Islam
By Haaretz Service – 23/11/2008

The American singer Michael Jackson has converted to Islam, the Sun newspaper reported over the weekend.

The 50-year-old pop star, who changed his name to Mikaeel, pledged allegiance to the Koran at a friend’s house in Los Angeles. An Imam was summoned from a nearby mosque to hold the shahada, the declaration of belief in Allah and Mohammed’s prophecy.

An associate said that Jackson chose his new name, which is the name of one of Allah’s angels, after rejecting another Muslim name, Mustafa, which means “the chosen one.”

Last week, he sold his multimillion California estate, Neverland Ranch, to cover his debts. He is also facing a lawsuit by a Bahrain prince, Sheikh Abdulla Bin Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa, who alleges he gave Jackson $2.2 million after he was acquitted of child molestation in 2007

Atheist philosopher: Intelligent Design is a reasonable idea

Part One

This episode of ID the Future features part one of Casey Luskin’s interview with atheist philosopher of physics Bradley Monton, author of a new book on intelligent design. Prof. Monton has a unique perspective of the debate over intelligent design as an atheist who is trying to elevate the debate.

Professor Monton is debating intelligent design and the existence of God this weekend in Fort Worth, TX.

Part Two

This episode of ID the Future features the second part of Casey Luskin’s interview with atheist philosopher of physics Bradley Monton.

Prof. Monton shares his experience in the debate over intelligent design and discusses the Dover decision, rebutting trial witness philosopher Robert Pennock.

Prof. Monton has a unique perspective of the debate over intelligent design as an atheist who is trying to elevate the debate. In 2006, he authored a paper on Judge Jones’ Kitzmiller ruling, ‘Is Intelligent Design Science? Dissecting the Dover Decision.’

Part Three

On this episode of ID the Future, Casey Luskin continues his interview with atheist philosopher of science Bradley Monton. Professor Monton discusses his role in ‘The Great Debate on Intelligent Design’ last weekend. Interestingly, the two presenters on the pro-ID side, including Prof. Monton, were non-theists.

Listen is as Prof. Monton shows that the debate over intelligent design is far more nuanced than most portray it.

Part Four

On this episode of ID the Future, atheist philosopher of science Bradley Monton turns the tables on Casey Luskin, putting the question to him about the Dover trial. What is the story of Discovery Institute’s involvement in that infamous case? Listen in as Professor Monton asks good questions and gets good answers.

Part Five

This episode of ID the Future features the last in a series of interviews with atheist philosopher of physics Bradley Monton. Professor Monton’s perspective enriches and expands the debate over intelligent design, as he discusses whether an ID proponent can be an atheist, the scientific evidence for intelligent design, and the importance of the argument from cosmology.

Professor Monton also shares his experience dealing with Robert Pennock, a Darwinist philosopher of science who had an interesting response when Monton published a paper on the Dover decision, critiquing Pennock. Monton breaks this story for the first time in this interview, but the full tale is told in his forthcoming book, Seeking God in Science: An Atheist Defends Intelligent Design, (Broadview Press, 2009).
